Robin Farmanfarmaian is a medical futurist and entrepreneur. She has started multiple companies, has developed several conferences, sits on the board of the Organ Preservation Alliance, and is Vice President at INVICTA Medical.

As the author of The Patient as CEO, she explores new and upcoming breakthroughs in big data, wearable technology, 3D printing, AI, robotics, and access to and the usability of personal healthcare information. Her mission is for the patient to be the key decision-maker – the CEO – of his/her own healthcare.

Robin was inspired by a misdiagnosis at age 16, forcing her to endure a decade of multiple surgeries and countless hospitalizations, before taking charge of her own healthcare and changing her life.

This will be the focus of her presentation at Wearable Tech + Digital Health San Francisco.
