Jack Young

Jack is the Managing Director of Qualcomm Ventures North America. He was ranked #2 on the top 20 rising star list in 2016 by Global Corporate Venturing. Previously, he headed up the Qualcomm Life Fund (QLF) and built it into one of the most active and visible venture investors in digital health – ranked by sources including CB insights, Rock Health and StartUp health. He is also a general partner at dRx Capital AG, a Novartis and Qualcomm joint investment company. Jack’s current investments include: Airstrip, AliveCor, ClearCare, Doctor On Demand, goBalto, Jana, Omada (via dRx), Telcare and Welltok. His exits included: Validity (acquired by Synaptics), and Fitbit (NYSE: FIT).

Prior to Qualcomm Ventures, Jack was EVP and US Country Manager at ZTE, where he helped establish the company’s US market presence. He has also held sales and marketing positions at Nokia, 3Com GDC, and Nortel. Jack earned a MSEE from University of Calgary and a MBA from McGill University.
